Mr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman is serving as the Additional Secretary of the government and is a member of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre. He has joined as Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner (RRRC), Cox’s Bazar under the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR) on 18 September 2022. Prior to that, he discharged his duties as Additional Divisional Commissioner, Chattogram. He had also served as Additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner from 2017 to 2020. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service in 1998. His great endeavor to serve the country started from Divisional Commissioner Office, Rajshahi as Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate. Later, he served with reputation in different office in field administration.

Mr. Mohammed Mizanur Rahman came of a Noble Muslim family from Feni Sadar of Feni District. He achieved his Bachelor and Masters in English Literature from the University of Chittagong and PG Diploma in Project Management from the University of Bedfordshire, UK. He attended Information and Community Technology training, and Mid-Career Training for Field Administration in India, and received fellowship for Professional Development Program for Mid-Career in Monash University, Australia. In 2018, He attended workshop on Humanitarian Negotiation in Bangkok, Thailand, arranged by UNHCR. In the same year, he participated as Panelist in a discussion on Rohingya crisis at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He also attended Senior Staff Course at BPATC in 2022.
